About Gmat
GMAT, also called GMAT CAT, sometimes isa Graduate Management Admission Test developed by GMAC, the Graduate Management Admission Council, to test the candidates’ business aptitude. Lakhs of MBA aspirants every year take up this test in the hope of getting admission to the topmost business schools in the world.
Many high-end business schools with various management programs rely on GMAT scores for selecting the best candidates to study in their universities. GMAT exam determines the candidate’s academic performance and his or her ability to handle the rigors of a management program. Let us discuss it in detail.
Syllabus
There are four major parts.
- Analytical Writing Assessment
- Integrated Reasoning
- Quantitative ability
- Verbal Reasoning
Each of these sections has more subparts to them. The total mark is 800 points. Candidates who appear for it get an average of 400-600. However, the target is always to get a 700+ score to get the best colleges. If you decide to get GMAT preparation, there are high chances to score above 700.
Duration: 3 hrs and 7 minutes.
The number of attempts: 5 times in 12 months and not more than once in 16 days.
